Christina Plejdrup, Ph.D, authorised psychologist
Life can be challenging, even for people who appear to have everything under control. Stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, loss, self-doubt, or simply feeling stuck can leave us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from ourselves.
As a psychologist, my goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what is happening in your life and begin creating meaningful and lasting change. I believe that every person has a unique story, and I take the time to understand not only your challenges, but also your strengths, values, and goals. My approach is collaborative and tailored to the individual, meeting you where you are while helping you move towards where you would like to be.
I am half Danish and half Swedish and have spent much of my adult life living and working abroad. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges that can come with cultural transitions, identity, belonging, relationships, and building a life across different countries and cultures.
My areas of work include anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, self-esteem, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, emotional regulation, grief, and personal growth. I work with individuals and couples, as well as professionals, expatriates, and people navigating demanding careers and complex life circumstances.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the individual. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, attachment-focused work, and emotion regulation strategies, I work collaboratively with clients to find practical and meaningful solutions that fit their lives.
Many of my clients appreciate that therapy with me is both supportive and active. Alongside reflection and insight, I provide practical tools, strategies, and perspectives that can be applied in everyday life.
Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply wish to understand yourself more deeply, you are welcome exactly as you are.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am the author of several books and guided journals on mental health, emotional wellbeing, mindfulness, and personal development. My writing reflects the same philosophy that guides my therapeutic work: helping people better understand themselves while creating meaningful and lasting change.
